Dry As A Bone

August 23, 2013

Drizabone is an Australian trade name originating from, you guessed it, "dry as a bone".  It is what Aussies call the long coat a cowboy wears to project himself from the elements.  It also most certainly describes our Western United States this summer, DRY-AS-A-BONE!  Fire danger is EXTREMELY HIGH everywhere.  Please use caution and common sense when barbequing or smoking or any activity that invovles flames and or burning embers.

That being stated, We send our gratitude and support to all the courageous firefighting personnel in our country and worldwide.  This has been one of the worst fire seasons the United States has dealt with in a long time, especially on the Western side of the Great continental Divide.  Fire personnel are being tested to the extremes.

Heartfelt sympathy for all those friends and families of the nineteen Granite Mountain Hotshots that perished while battling the Yarnell Hill Fire in North Central Arizona.
